Editorial policy

AusCoupons editorial policy: sourcing, corrections, takedowns, sponsored content rules and our independence from the brands we cover.

Reviewed by Eric Hislop · How we verify

This page covers the rules we publish under. If you ever think we’ve broken one of them, email hello@auscoupons.com with the URL.

Sourcing

Every deal on AusCoupons is sourced from one of:

  • A referral link or code the editor has personally signed up for, and where both sides receive the published reward.
  • A brand-published promo or voucher code that appears on the brand’s own Australian site, app, or official marketing email.

We don’t republish codes scraped from forums, Telegram channels or other coupon aggregators without independently verifying them against the brand’s live page first.

Corrections

If a deal page contains a factual error — wrong reward amount, wrong eligibility, broken code — email hello@auscoupons.com with the URL. Corrections are made within seven days. The page’s lastVerified date is updated when the correction goes live.

If you’re a brand and want a deal removed (e.g. campaign ended, terms changed, you don’t want affiliate coverage), the same address works. Takedowns are processed within seven days.

We don’t currently take sponsored placement. If we ever do, the page will carry a clearly visible “Sponsored” label at the top and the rationale will be in the disclosure footer. Brand relationships will never silently change the order of deals on a category page or the wording of an offer summary.

Affiliate and referral disclosure

Many links on AusCoupons are affiliate or referral links. When you sign up using one and qualify for the offer, the editor may earn a referral reward or a small commission. This never changes the price you pay or the deal you get, and it never changes which deals we publish or where they sit on a category page.

The full disclosure is on every page footer and on the disclosure page.

AI and content generation

Pages on AusCoupons are written and edited by a human (the editor named on the About page). Tooling is sometimes used for boring tasks — checking a code is reachable, formatting a list, fixing a typo — but the verification step, the wording of the offer summary and the FAQ answers are written by the editor.

Privacy

AusCoupons doesn’t ask you for an account or store any personal data on this site. We do use Google Analytics to count anonymous page views. Outbound links to brand sites carry their own tracking; please read each brand’s own privacy policy.
